York Beer and Cider Festival

15th - 17th September 2011

Organised by Campaign for Real Ale - York Branch

Wine

All our fruit wines and mead have been sourced from Yorkshire Country wines of Glasshouses near Harrogate. They were established in 1989 by Richard and Gillian Brown in the cellars of a nineteenth-century flax mill. Their full range of wines also includes a damson, rhubarb and a spiced mulling wine called Wassail Cup.

All the wines for sale at the festival will be near to the foreign beer bar and the cider/perry bar. If fruit wines are not your thing there will be a Red, Rose and White wine available, made from grape varieties, supplied by the Jug & Bottle, Bubwith.

ElderberryMedium, but not too sweet. Full-bodied port style
ElderflowerMedium full of flavour with a powerful flowery bouquet
BlackberryDry, light body but with a very fruity red
GooseberryDry crisp white, the most similar to a grape wine
CherryMedium rose style wine, which is light and refreshing
MeadHoney based wine

All wines are served in 175ml measures into your festival polycarbonate glass.
